Who We Are
The Alameda County Bar Association's Volunteer Legal Services Corporation (VLSC) provides free direct legal assistance to self-represented persons who need assistance with their bankruptcy case in the Oakland Division of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.
The Program is designed to assist debtors who do not have a bankruptcy attorney. The VLSC provides free direct legal advice and, in some instances, representation. VLSC cannot represent all such debtors due to income guidelines and other limitations. Appointments are mandatory.
